I Caught the Wrong Train!

Friday was wonderful! Now by the looks of the title, why would Friday be wonderful? Well I’ll start from the top.  I got a new assignment for work, which now requires me to take the train to work.  This is a true win for me after having had long commutes to drive in the past.  So to train it to work is a game changer for me 🙌🏾.

My day didn’t start this way.  In the morning I got my train on time and was even a half hour early.  Winning! Met up with my new manager and got set up and the day was smooth sailing.  Going home was a different story.

Rushing with the evening  rush hour crowd I got on the wrong train and didn’t realize it until the train pulled off😱.  Long story short  a train that should have taken an hour and some change turned into four with the lead times and transfers.

But let me tell you the miracle in it all😇.  As I was on the last stretch home, my headphones were broken and I was miserable.  I just wanted to go home😤.  I had a good day, but it was stretched to the limit.  I had reached my breaking point🤯.  I was sleepy and just wanted to shower and go to bed.  Well,  I sat near the front of the train and this man sat behind me and he was anti-headphones.  Depending on the music it would have been obnoxious to me, but it was like he had access to my gospel playlist.  Just like that, the waters were calmed.  I had peace again.

God doesn’t make mistakes even when we do.  I may have caught the wrong train🚂, but God already knew that I would.  He writes our life story and knows when we are going to  take the wrong route, but even still He is always there.  When there are storms, He provides peace to endure and make it through.  Remember that He never fails us, even if we’re tired and weary.  All He wants is our trust.  I’m trusting Him more and I am encouraging you to do the same.

Until next time, continue to GetUp and GetFit in God!

Psalm 37:5

“Commit your way to the Lord. Trust in Him, and He will act.”

  1. I love it! I’m learning more and more to just trust God and let him direct my ways. Love ya post, keep them coming.
